Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test match of the ongoing series against Australia. Jasprit Bumrah is captaining the team in his place. Earlier, Bumrah had captained in the first test match of the current series. In the first Test match played in Perth, under the leadership of Bumrah, Team India started the series with a win by defeating Australia by 295 runs. After this, Rohit captained the Indian team in the remaining 3 Test matches where India lost 2 Tests. There was a defeat and one test was a draw. This is the first time since 1975 that an Indian Test captain has had to be dropped from the playing eleven in the middle of a series.
