Before the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several projects worth Rs 4500 crore in Delhi today. He will inaugurate newly constructed flats for people living in slums. He will also lay the foundation stone of 3 new projects in Delhi University.
PM Modi will inaugurate 1,675 flats built in Ashok Vihar, Delhi at 12 noon. During this time he will hand over the keys of Swabhiman Apartment to the eligible beneficiaries. The flats have been built by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the in-situ slum rehabilitation project.
Eligible beneficiaries pay less than 7% of the total amount for the flats. This also includes Rs 1.42 lakh and Rs 30 thousand for maintenance for 5 years.
In December 2022, PM Modi had handed over the keys of the flats built under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Scheme in Kalkaji Extension, Delhi to the poor.
PM Modi will inaugurate CBSE office in Dwarka The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the CBSE building in Dwarka, Delhi, on which approximately Rs 300 crore has been spent. This includes offices, auditorium, data center, water management system. This building has been built environment-friendly and under the platinum rating of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
PM will also inaugurate 2 urban redevelopment projects The Prime Minister will also inaugurate 2 urban redevelopment projects – World Trade Center (WTC) at Naoroji Nagar and General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar. The GPRA Type-II quarter comprises 28 towers, housing over 2500 residential units.
Foundation stone of 3 projects in Delhi University Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 3 new projects costing more than Rs 600 crore in Delhi University.
- An academic block will be built in the eastern campus of Surajmal Vihar.
- An academic block will be constructed in the western campus of Dwarka.
- The building of Veer Savarkar College will be built in Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
Assembly elections are likely to be held in the capital Delhi next month in February. The Election Commission may announce the dates in January.
