Amit shah west bengal visit: Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Kolkata on Saturday (May 31, 2025) on a two -day visit to West Bengal. This is his first visit to the state after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. Amit Shah will participate in several official and party programs on Sunday (June 1, 2025).

The most special thing about this visit of Amit Shah is that he is reaching the state to visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi within 48 hours of the election public meeting. Two days ago, PM Modi targeted the Mamta Banerjee government of West Bengal by referring to the Murshidabad violence in West Bengal. In his public meeting, PM Modi praised the bravery of the Indian Army.

Will prepare master plan for assembly elections

After PM Modi, it is now clear from Amit Shah’s visit to Bengal that BJP is going to throw all the strength in the state in the 2026 assembly elections. Like Operation Sindoor, the discussions of Operation Bengal have made a place in the political corridors. However, the Trinamool Congress has described the visit of PM Modi and Amit Shah as a seasonal tour. TMC has considered Operation Bengal’s Narcover an attempt to influence voters.

BJP will address leaders

Home Minister Amit Shah will start his visit with the inauguration of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Rajarhat, the outskirts of Kolkata. After this, Shah will address BJP leaders and officials at the party conference at Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Inner sources in the party said that the meeting is expected to focus on the party’s outline for West Bengal ahead of the 2026 assembly elections. It is believed that the new BJP president of West Bengal can also be announced on this tour. However, no official statement has been revealed from the BJP regarding this.

BJP’s state unit president and Union Minister Sukant Majumdar said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah will outline us in the next assembly elections in the state.” Amit Shah will also visit Swami Vivekananda’s ancestral home in Shimla Street, Northern Kolkata.
