Hamas has not approved the American proposal for the ceasefire in Gaza. The proposal has been demanded to amend the proposal. Israel had given its support to this ceasefire proposal. On the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the talks, a Hamas official told the news agency AP that the proposed amendment is focused on ‘American guarantee, the release time of the hostage, the supply of human aid and the return of the Israeli army’. A separate statement by Hamas called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, full return from the Israeli army and the flow of humanitarian aid.
Hamas said that he would release 10 living hostages in exchange for a certain number of Palestinian prisoners and return the bodies of 18 others. Out of 250 hostages caught by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attack in Israel, 58 are alive in Gaza, while Israel believes 35 hostages are dead. However, American envoy Steve Witchoff, who designed this ceasefire proposal, described Hamas’s response as completely unacceptable. He told on social media that the American proposal includes a 60 -day ceasefire, the release of the living hostages and the return of the dead bodies of the dead hostages.

Witchoff urged Hamas to accept the outline as the starting point for negotiations, which could begin next week. Desperate and help crisis in Gaza
The UN World Food Program said in a statement that as the starvation in Gaza is increasing, the situation is getting worse. This international body said that in Gaza, the Palestinians stopped the United Nations 77 aid trucks and vacated them, most of which were filled with flour, before the relief supply could reach their destination. An eyewitness in Khan Younis said that thousands of citizens were unloading aid material on a temporary barricading. The WFP has warned of the possibility of serious famine and said that it has more than 140,000 metric tonnes of food grains, which is enough to feed Gaza for two months, and it is ready to reach the food grain field, but due to insecurity and restrictions it is not getting safe delivery.

The Israeli blockade in Gaza Strip for three months has brought more than 20 lakh people to the verge of starvation. Although Israel has recently allowed some aid trucks to go to Gaza, support organizations say it is inadequate. According to Israeli coordination body, Cogat, 579 trucks were allowed to go to Gaza last week, while 600 trucks used to come daily during the last ceasefire.
