The National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation is constructing a 508 km long high speed rail line between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Whose 352 km route will go through nine districts of Gujarat and three districts of Maharashtra.
Starting a trial of bullet train in Japan is considered a big step. As part of a strategic partnership between Japan and India, Japan will gift two Shinkansen train sets to India. There is a bullet train E5 series and an E3 series. The delivery of these trains will be done in India in early 2026.
Bullet train will run at how speed
When these trains come from Japan, they will be tested. These trains will have to undergo many levels of tests under Indian geographical and climatic conditions. The speed of bullet train in India will be 320 km per hour. Some media reports said that these trains will be tried in India during 2026 and these trains will be fully ready to run by 2029.
Travel will be completed in two hours
The 508 km long MAHSR Corridor is being developed by National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). This corridor will reduce the time of travel between Mumbai and Ahmabad to just 2 hours. There will be a total of 12 stations on this route, including Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Surat and Vadodara. Japan’s technology has been used on this train and route.
Fast running work
Out of the 300 km structure, 257.4 km has been constructed with full span launching technology, causing the work to be done very fast. During this time many river bridges, steel and PSC bridges, and station buildings are also built. So far, 383 km of Pears, 401 km Foundation and 326 km girder casting have been completed in this project. A total of 12 stations are being built on this bullet train route.
How long will the bullet train run?
India’s first bullet train station in Surat is almost ready. At the same time, the remaining work is also being completed at the war level. It is being said that about 157 km of track beds have also been laid in Gujarat. It is expected that the trial run of the bullet train may start next year. It is expected to get complete service by 2029.
