All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan over his double attitude to promote terrorism. Owaisi, while giving an example of Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism, explained that a notorious terrorist became a father even while in jail.
Owaisi is part of the all -party parliamentary delegation and is currently in Algeria. He addressed the Indian community on Saturday and exposed Pakistan. Owaisi said that Islamabad’s refugee policy promotes instability in South Asia.
‘Terrorist Lakhvi became a father sitting in jail’
He referred to terrorist Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi and took a dig at Pakistan’s attitude. Owaisi said, Jakiur is a terrorist named Rahman Lakhvi. No country in the world will allow the terrorist facing the charge of terrorism to come out of jail, but he became the father of a son while sitting in jail. However, when Pakistan was put into the gray list (FATF), the case immediately went ahead.
He emphasized how international pressure forced Pakistan to take action for some time.
‘PAK should be put in the great list’
Owaisi said that if Pakistan is put back in the gray list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF), then there will be a decrease in terrorist incidents in India. FATF is a global surveillance institution, which monitors countries for financing terrorism.
He said, this is no longer the case of South Asia. We are the fourth largest economy in the world. What will happen if the situation remains the same? Do you want this devastation to spread in other parts of South Asia too?
He warned that bringing Pakistan under control has now become necessary for world peace. He said, Pakistan is the main sponsor of terrorism. It is necessary to bring it to FATF gray list once again.
Owaisi also spoke on the roots of terrorism. He said, terrorism rests on two things- ideology and money. You know about ideology very well. You have seen a black decade. There are still some problems in South Algeria. We are with you on this issue. He reiterated, if Pakistan is brought back to the gray list, then there will be a decrease in the incidents of terrorism in India. The murders will be less.
Owaisi also appreciated the growing relations between India and Algeria. He said, we have signed a compromise in the defense sector in November 2024. I am very sure that this will increase mutual understanding and our relationship will be stronger. It is expected that our Prime Minister will come to Algeria very soon and the President of Algeria will visit India. This will be a very positive step.
Owaisi’s comment has come when India is intensifying its diplomatic campaign against terrorism and going all over the world.
