According to the Wall Street Journal report, Iran has a missile fuel deal with China. Under this, China has ordered thousands of tonnes of missile fuel to Iran. It also includes ammonium perchlorate so that it can create a large scale ballistic missile. With this fuel, Iran will produce more than 800 ballistic missiles.
Along with this, Iran is busy fixing 12 planetary mixers destroyed in the Israeli attack in October 2023. Earlier in February and March, fuel consignment for 260 short distance missiles reached Tehran. But America is not happy with Iran’s nuclear program. In 2022, the US seized a 70 ton of nuclear fuel from Oman’s Gulf to Iran.
What does America think about Iran’s nuclear program?
The US has repeatedly stated that it will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Trump has clarified that Iran will never be allowed to prepare a atomic bomb. Recently, the US has given a new proposal to Iran, allowing Iran to allow uranium enrichment at a limited level, but only for nuclear energy such as civil use, provided for nuclear energy to close its underground promotion facilities and accept strict monitoring of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAAA). This proposal talks about creating a consortium under regional cooperation, which will include Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, but the promotion will not be on Iran’s land.
However, Iran has demanded that restrictions related to nuclear programs be lifted. But it is not clear in the US proposal which restrictions will be lifted. Trump publicly stated that he does not want to allow Iran any uranium enrichment, but his administration’s proposal allows to promote low levels.
