US President Donald Trump signed three important orders, which aim to strengthen the US air security, deal with drone hazards, and to promote electric air taxi as well as supersonic aviation.
According to the White House, the aim of these orders is to make the drone technique more capable commercially, including allowing drones that fly out of the direct eye of the operator’s eyes. This can make the path of drone delivery easier for e-commerce companies. In addition, a special federal task force will be formed to reduce dependence on China and maintain complete control over the US airs.
In these orders, a strict stance has also been taken on the misuse of drones. In this, it has been said to impose more restrictions on flying drones over sensitive sites, adopting the technique of tracking the drone in real-time as well as supporting local agencies.
According to Reuters, Senior Director of National Security Council Sebastian Goraka and White House Science and Technology Policy Office Director Michael Krishios said that the move has been taken keeping in mind the safety of events like Russia-Ukraine War, upcoming Olympics and World Cups. Goraka also said that strict action will be taken on both miscreants and fools to prevent misuse of drones.
Ban on supersonic journey lifted
Taking a historic step, President Trump has directed to lift the ban imposed in 1973, which used to stop supersonic flights in the US. Now American citizens will be able to travel from New York to Los Angeles in less than four hours, as modern technology will now make this flight safe, economical and environmentally friendly.
Stance on China soft, but cautious
Trump’s orders have not imposed a direct ban on any Chinese drone company, but it was noted that the restrictive bill has already been introduced at the time of Biden administration on the major companies of China such as DJI and Autetel Robotics.
