The fierce jam on the roads of Mussoorie became a time for a family. 62 -year -old Kamal Kishore Tandon, who came to Mussoorie from Delhi, was being taken to the hospital after his health deteriorated, but died on the way due to heavy traffic. The incident took place on 5 June, when Tandon was staying with his family in an apartment on Motilal Nehru Road in Mussoorie.

108 ambulance service called
According to the family, Tandon’s health deteriorated amid sudden bad weather and rain. 108 ambulance service was called immediately, but it was told that the ambulance would come from Dehradun and it could take about an hour. In such a situation, the family decided to take him to the nearest Landor Community Hospital by his own car.

Died on the way
But a large number of tourist vehicles, tempo travelers and private vehicles were jammed on the narrow roads of Mussoorie. The police and local people tried to vacate the way, but took about 45 minutes. By the time the family reached the hospital, Kamal Kishore Tandon had passed away.

Tourism department accused of negligence
The family has accused the administration and tourism department of negligence. Tandon’s nephew Arjun Kapoor said, ‘We had come for holidays, but now they are returning with a dead body. The administration should learn from this so that this does not happen to any other family.

Mussoorie Circle Officer Manoj Aswal confirmed the incident and said that the police had also tried to reach the spot and give CPR (the process of re -starting heartbeat). He appealed to the tourists to call the number 112 in any emergency, so that they can get speedy help.
