Controversy has arisen over the documentary of BBC World Service being built on Punjabi singer Sidhu Mosewala. Sidhu’s father Balakaur Singh Sidhu has filed an official complaint at Maharashtra’s DGP and Juhu police station and demanded a ban on this documentary.

Balakaur Singh says that a screening of this documentary is being organized at 3 pm on June 11 at Juhu, Mumbai, for which invitations have also been sent. It has been claimed in the documentary that many unseen information and secrets related to the life and murder of Sidhu Mouswala will be brought out in it.
Permission for documentary was not taken
In the complaint, Balakaur Singh has alleged that no permission was taken from this documentary. He says that this film can damage the image of his son and can also affect the process of the ongoing court case.
He has also claimed that the BBC has interviewed those who are named in the FIR in the Sidhu Muswala murder case.
Balkor Singh can knock the door of the court
Balakaur Singh said that if necessary, they will also knock the court door on Monday. He feared that an attempt could be made to spoil his son’s legacy through the documentary.
At present, no official response has been revealed by the police or BBC in this case, but there is a lot of resentment among Sidhu Mosewala’s fans and family members.

Sidhu Mouswala’s father Balakaur Singh made a big political announcement two days before his son’s third anniversary. He had announced that he would contest from Mansa seat in the Punjab Assembly elections to be held in 2027.
