Violence has erupted once again in Manipur. Violence took place in many districts on Saturday, after which curfew was imposed in Bishnupur district by the administration and internet was banned in five districts.
On Saturday night, the violence erupted after the leaders of the Maetai organization Arambai Tenggol and several leaders were arrested by the police. The protesters set fire to the streets, set the buses on fire and vandalized it. After which violent clashes started.
The protesters threatened the administration to commit self -immolation by putting petrol on themselves. A video of this has also surfaced. In which many protesters are standing and putting petrol on themselves.

- A heavy demonstration started in Imphal East and West districts late on Saturday night when Arambai Tenggol was arrested.
- After this, the protesters clashed with the police in many areas of the capital Imphal. Angry mob of protesters burned buses in the Khurai Lamlong area of ​​Imphal, closed the roads by burning tires and clashed with security forces.
- The protesters did not stop. Those people gathered outside the gate of Tulihal of Imphal Airport. The protesters disrupted traffic on the airport road at night and slept overnight. Those people had received reports that the arrested leader was being taken out.
- In view of the increasing violence in the capital, the police released the use of force and tear gas shells. During this time there is also news of the death of a person, who was allegedly injured in lathicharge.
- In view of the violence, a complete curfew has been imposed in Bishnupur district. Whereas more than five people have been prohibited from gathering together in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thobal and Kakching.
- The administration has banned the Internet in Importan East, Imphal West, Thobbal, Kakching and Bishnupur.
- On Saturday, the police arrested three militants associated with two banned organizations. Also, IED was recovered in Tenganupal district.
