Bengaluru Stampede DCP Letter: After Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the IPL 2025 title, there was a stampede due to a huge crowd during their reception on 4 June (Wednesday) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, in which 11 people died.

There is a lot of allegations and counter-allegations in Bangalore about a stampede. Meanwhile, DCP MN of Vidhi Saudha Safety Department A letter from Karibasavangowda has surfaced. In which he warned the Siddaramaiah government of Karnataka regarding crowds, staff shortage and security risks.

What was in DCP warning?

In a written letter to the Government of Karnataka on June 4, it was told that a crowd of millions could gather in view of the popularity of RCB, while there is a huge shortage of security staff. On a large scale, there may be unpleasant incidents from the crowd of fans.

DCP recommended the cancellation of public entry pass in the letter. Together it was also told that CCTV monitoring is incomplete in the Vidan Sudha campus, which can deteriorate the security system.

In the letter, two hours ago, inspection and fitness certificate of the stage was compulsory. A separate fitness certificate was also said for electricity equipment.

DCP drew attention to the lack of traffic and law and order coordination in the letter. Not only this, there was a need to call additional police force from other districts.

Government neglect and result

Despite the DCP letter, the government was ignored and no concrete steps were taken. As a result, a big accident occurred in Bengaluru and 11 people lost their lives.

Two prominent officials resign in Bengaluru stampede case

Two top officials of KSCA (Karnataka State Cricket Association) – Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer Jairam Bhat have resigned in the Bengaluru stampede case.

Jairam Bhat has reacted to the matter, saying that he is ready to cooperate fully in the investigation. So far no notice has been received from the government and the High Court in this case. But, whenever the investigation of the case starts, we have clearly told the government and the court that KSCA will fully support the investigation.
