On Tuesday, a young woman from Assam, Rosmita Hozai, a woman from Assam, was found on the banks of the river in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. She was a resident of Dima Hasao district in Assam and was missing since June 5. Rupmita left the house to take the Delhi Railway Recruitment Board exam.

According to the family, she had informed about the yatra on 4 June, but the next day suddenly called and told that she is returning from the train. After this, he had no contact. A few days later, due to his corpse found in Uttarakhand, mourning and resentment spread throughout the region.

Girl’s body found on the river

The police has detained two youths in this case. They have been identified as Hemant Sharma (Delhi) and Pankaj Kokar (Haryana). The body has been sent for post -mortem and the investigation of the case is going on.

After this incident, the All Dimasa Student Union has demanded a deep investigation into the case. Union leader Uttam Langthasa said that this is not just an accident but raises serious questions on the safety of the students of the Northeast.

Police registered a case and started investigation

Appealing for cooperation from the Assam government, Uttam said that Rupa’s family has reached Uttarakhand and the body will be brought back as soon as possible.
