RC (Recovery Certificate) has been issued against Samajwadi Party’s senior leader Mohammad Azam Khan’s son and former MLA Abdullah Azam Khan for recovery of Rs 4 crore 64 lakh from the collector office of Rampur. ADM (Finance) of Rampur, while issuing this RC, has ordered the Tehsil Department to recover from Abdullah Azam Khan.

What is the whole matter?

Abdullah Azam Khan had bought land from three different numbers in Bezil Ghatampur, on which a case was filed in the court of District Magistrate Rampur for giving less stamps than the circle rate fixed by the District Magistrate Rampur. On 3 April 2025, about Rs 4 crore 64 lakh was fined in the case of stamp shortage and stamp theft, which has not been deposited yet, on which action has been taken to release RC.

A fine of Rs 4 crore 64 lakh will be charged

On this subject, District Government Advocate Prem Kishore Pandey said that Abdullah Azam Khan had bought land from three different numbers in Bezil Ghatampur. In it, he had given less stamp than the circle rate, which was investigated on behalf of SDM Sadar and then a case was filed in the District Hills Court. From there, on 3 April 2025, he was fined around 4 crore 64 lakhs in the case of stamp shortage and stamp theft.

He said that Abdullah Azam had to deposit about 4 crore 64 lakh rupees, which he did not give in adequate time, on which further legal action was started. When someone does not deposit the government money, then its recovery certificate is issued, which we also call the demand letter and RC also.
