Ahmedabad plane crash: Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft crashed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in which a total of 242 people were aboard. After this horrific accident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached the spot and took stock of the relief work. He expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and said that the whole country is standing with the families suffering in this difficult time.
Center came into action in 10 minutes, PM Modi monitored himself
Amit Shah informed that on receiving the information of the accident, coordination was started between the Central Government, the Gujarat government and the concerned departments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself called and monitored the situation and immediately joint relief and rescue operation was started. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and State Administration together are constantly working in action.
Amit Shah, who met only the remaining passenger, the dead will be identified by DNA
At the time of the accident, 230 passengers and 12 crew members were present in the aircraft. The Home Minister said that only one of these passengers has been reported to survive. All other victims will be identified by DNA test. He informed that more than 1,000 DNA tests will be done and this process will be held in Gujarat itself. After this, the bodies will be handed over to their families.
Heat, fuel and fire did not leave any scope, investigation intensified
Shah said that the aircraft had about 1.25 million liters of fuel and the fire spread rapidly due to excessive heat, which could not provide any chance to rescue. All the bodies have been taken out of the spot. The Gujarat government has kept all departments on alert and relief work has been completed. He also informed that the investigation of the aircraft accident has been intensified and the Civil Aviation Minister has given special instructions in this regard.
