Prior to the June 19 by -election in Ludhiana, a social worker, Masti Rawal, has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of threatening.

,

Checki complained to the Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) that Kejriwal had promoted AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora in Ludhiana West seat and told people that if they did not vote for you, their area would not be developed.

Accused of threatening voters during rallies in Ludhiana

According to Chaiyam, during several promotional rallies in Ludhiana, Kejriwal repeatedly said, “Choose only the MLA of the party who is in power.” In one such speech, Kejriwal shared his conversation with a voter. “I asked a man who he would vote for, so he said Ashu (Congress). I asked him why he said that he is an old Congress supporter.

Then I told him that if the road is broken outside his house or the water supply is closed, then who will fix it? Ashu will not be able to help because it belongs to the opposition and the government is of AAP. He has neither power nor any wealth. Therefore, if you want a solution to your problems, vote for AAP.

Social worker precious Rawal.

Rawal said- violation of the right to cast this vote

Rawal, describing these statements as “direct threats to voters”, said that they violate voters independently and without any fear. He alleged that Kejriwal tried to influence voters by saying that AAP candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora is rich and can also pay money for development works in person if needed.

Rawal said that he has submitted video clips and transcripts of publicity speeches as evidence. He also said that despite being a member of the BJP RTI Sale, he has filed a complaint not as a party worker but “as a responsible citizen and voter”.

Urged to inform Supreme Court

Rawal asked- “Democracy does not work like this. The Election Commission should take it seriously. How can the head of a ruling party expect an independent and fair election by threatening voters in this way?

He urged the Election Commission to take legal action and even inform the Supreme Court about the matter and said that Punjabis should be allowed to vote independently without any fear or influence.
