Industrial sector will get benefit
The purpose of this railway corridor project is to connect the major industrial areas of the country to the rail network. With the introduction of this railway line, industrial units located in Haryana will be particularly benefited. All the plants of India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti company will also be connected. Maruti will be able to deliver its cars to various parts of the country at a rapid pace and low cost using this railway line.
Before the commencement of this railway section, it took several hours to send goods by road to the companies, which increased both time and cost.
Yard ready at Maruti plant
Under this project, a special yard has been prepared at the Manesar plant in Maruti Suzuki, from where the work of loading cars in goods trains has started. The yard has the ability to load goods in four freight trains simultaneously. This feature will be beneficial not only for Maruti Suzuki, but also for other industrial units located in Manesar and the surrounding area.
The start of this railway section will reduce the pressure of heavy vehicles on the roads, which will also improve road traffic. Also, this project is also important from the environmental point of view, as the rail transport emissions less carbon than road transport.
