Mea on indians stuck in ran: Amid the ongoing struggle between Israel and Iran, the Indian government is busy in evacuating Indian students from Tehran. Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday (June 17) that the Indian students in Tehran have been taken out for security reasons amidst increasing tension between Israel and Iran. The ministry said that so far 110 people have crossed the border and entered Armenia and the entire arrangement has been made by the Indian Embassy.
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the Indian embassy is in constant touch with the community with the aim of providing all possible assistance. The statement said, “Indian students in Tehran have been taken out of security reasons. Embassy has arranged for it. Those who can make arrangements according to transport have also been advised to move out of the city in view of the situation. Apart from this, some Indians have been helped to leave Iran through Armenia border.”
Out of 110 Indian students, 90 students are only from Kashmir Valley- Jammu and Kashmir Students Union
The Ministry of External Affairs said, “Further counseling can be issued in view of unstable situation.” According to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Union, 110 Indian students of Uromia Medical University, out of which 90 are from the Kashmir Valley, have safely crossed the border and reached Armenia.

The Indian Embassy in Tehran said in a post on social media platform X, “The Indian mission has also advised all Indian citizens and people of Indian origin (PIO) to go out of the city to a safe place outside the city.”
In another statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “In view of the ongoing developments in Iran and Israel, the ministry has been set up a 24 -hour control room for seven days.”
