Karnataka DySP Suspended: B Ramachandrappa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) of Madhugiri Sub Division of Tumkuru district of Karnataka, has been suspended for behaving in an objectionable manner with a woman. This matter came to light after a video went viral and action was taken against him on Friday (January 3, 2025). In the alleged video, Ramachandrappa is seen behaving inappropriately with a woman in the bathroom of his office in Madhugiri.
Video went viral on January 2
Ramachandrappa was the DSP in the assembly constituency of Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara. A 35-second video went viral on Thursday (January 2, 2025) night. In this video, Ramachandrappa was seen inside the bathroom and a woman was seen standing in front.
‘We will take appropriate action against Ramchandrappa’
Tumkuru SP Ashok KV, while talking to the media, said that he will bring the matter to the notice of senior officials and take appropriate action. According to police sources, SP Ashok submitted the report of this incident to the Director General of Police. After this the Director General of Police handed it over to DG-Director General of Police Alok Mohan. After which he took action and suspended Ramachandrappa on Friday evening.
The woman had gone to the police station to lodge a complaint
According to police investigation, on Thursday the woman had gone to Madhugiri police station with some people to lodge a complaint. According to sources, when other people were busy talking to the police officer. Then Ramachandrappa befriended the woman and took her aside. According to sources, both of them entered the bathroom and started doing objectionable acts. Meanwhile, someone placed his mobile on the bathroom window and recorded the incident. However, after 35 seconds they came to know about the recording, after which the woman hid behind Ramachandrappa.
