Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav has gone to England to treat sports hernia. They will consult about injury from specialist doctors there. Not only this, if necessary, they can also have surgery.
A close friend of 34-year-old Suryakumar told the news agency PTI on the condition of anonymity- ‘Surya is suffering from sports hernia on the right side of the stomach. He has gone to Britain for consultation. They will undergo surgery if necessary. Surya has been traveling for the last 3 months. He participated in several matches amid pain.
A BCCI source on Surya’s treatment said-
There is no T20 cricket before August-September. In such a situation, Suryakumar thought that this is the best time when he can get his injury treated. He will also get enough time to overcome it at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru.
