Apart from this, during this time he also held bilateral talks with leaders of many countries. However, before the two -day visit to Canada, PM Modi also visited Cyprus on a two -day visit.
Centuries-old close cultural relations between Croatia and India- PM Modi
Modi said in a statement before his departure in New Delhi on Sunday (June 15, 2025), “I am hopeful about my visit to the Republic of Croatia and meetings with President Joran Milnoovic and Prime Minister Andrez Plankovic.”
He had said, “There are centuries -old close cultural relations between our two countries. As an Indian Prime Minister’s first visit to Croatia, this will open new avenues of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

At the same time, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had issued a statement in New Delhi before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Croatia.
