After crash in Ahmedabad, Air India canceled 15% international flights, 83 flight cancellation in 6 days – Air India flight cancellation after Ahmedabad Crash Dramliner Plane NTC

Air India has announced a 15% reduction in international flights, which will currently be applicable till mid-juli. This decision has been taken in view of the crash and increasing security measures of an Air India aircraft in Ahmedabad on 12 June. The cut will be mainly applied to the widebody aircraft.

The airline said that the decision has been taken to “reduce operational stability, better safety and inconvenience of passengers”. In the last six days, there were many obstacles in the company’s international services, due to which a total of 83 flights had to be canceled.

Flights can also be canceled due to middle East stress

Air India wrote on X, “Flights are coming in flights due to geopolitical tension in the Middle East, night curfew, ongoing security check and vigilance of engineering and pilot team in many countries of Europe and East Asia.”

Air India also stated that this temporary cut will increase the presence of reserve aircraft, which will better deal with any serious situation. According to the company, this step is “necessary and balanced”.

Alternative flights will be tried their best- Air India

Regarding the inconvenience of the passengers, the airline wrote, “Air India apologizes to the passengers whose flights have been affected. All will be informed in time and alternative flights will be tried their best. Passengers can resade for free or take full refund if they want.”

The airline said that the list of new international flights implemented from 20 June 2025 will be shared soon. On the Ahmedabad aircraft accident, Air India said that the investigation of the incident is still going on and an attempt is being made to find out the reasons.

26 aircraft investigation completed

Meanwhile, DGCA has ordered a security check of Air India’s Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft. Out of a total of 33 aircraft, 26 investigation has been completed and they have been allowed to flight. The investigation of the remaining aircraft is expected to be completed in the next few days.
