Kiren Rijiju Offering Chadar In Ajmer Dargah: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju reached Ajmer on Saturday (January 4, 2025) with a sheet sent by PM Narendra Modi. Amid the ongoing Ajmer controversy, Kiren Rijiju offered the chadar sent by the Prime Minister to the Dargah of Ajmer Sharif. Kiren Rijiju, who came to offer a chadar at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, said, visiting the Dargah of Garib Nawaz during Urs in Ajmer is an old tradition of our country.

‘Modi ji’s message of brotherhood’

Kiren Rijiju said that this time on the occasion of Urs, I have got the opportunity to offer a chadar to poor Nawaz. Prime Minister Modi ji’s message is of brotherhood and the entire country should come together and live together. The Union Minister said that I am going to Ajmer Dargah with the message of the country remaining united.

‘Offered a sheet and prayed at Nizamuddin Dargah also’

The Union Minister further said that yesterday we also went to Nizamuddin Dargah and there too along with everyone, we offered a chadar and then prayed. Rijiju said that on this auspicious occasion of Urs, we all want to create a good atmosphere in the country and not do anything that may spoil the harmony.

What did Kiren Rijiju say on Ajmer dispute?

On the Ajmer Dargah controversy, Kiren Rijiju said that we have not come to give or show any answer to anyone, but we are going to the Dargah with the message that everyone in the country should live well.

‘Garib Nawaz’s door opened for everyone’

He said that everyone comes to Garib Nawaz’s place whether Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi or Jain. The door is open for everyone, everyone is welcome here. Kiren Rijiju said that the whole world knows about Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Lakhs of people come here. However, people, especially women and the elderly, face a lot of trouble in coming here. Our Minority Ministry will launch something new here.

What is the controversy?

Recently, a petition was filed in the court by the Hindu Sena demanding that the chadar sent by PM Modi should not be offered at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah. In the petition filed by Hindu Sena, it was said that the hearing in this case is to be held on January 24. Earlier, Hindu Sena had filed a petition in the court claiming that Ajmer Sharif Dargah was built on the site of Shiv Temple.
