The party’s national president Lalu Prasad Yadav, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, including all the senior party are present in this meeting of RJD.
Apart from this, the meeting includes party MLAs, former MLA, MP, former MP, Legislative Councilor, District President and about 800 members of the State Council.
The meeting is attended by top party leaders and representatives from across the state. The RJD meeting is also considered important because elections are to be held in Bihar this year. In such a situation, along with the organizational strength of the party, the electoral strategy will be discussed.
The first EBC and 7th president are Mangani Lal Mandal
The party was founded in 1997 after Lalu Yadav went to jail in the fodder scam. Earlier, there have been 6 state presidents.
It includes 4 times Dalits, Muslims and leaders coming from the upper caste once. Mangani Lal Mandal is the first president of the party to form the 7th and EBC (Backward Class) society.
National President will be elected on 5 July
The upcoming July 5 is also a very important date for RJD. On this day, the party will celebrate its 28th Foundation Day and also the election of the post of National President. The party’s founder and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will once again be made the national president.
The party plans that Lalu Yadav will file his nomination on June 23 and his name will be formally announced on 5 July. The RJD is preparing to organize a large scale on the foundation day.
