Telangana Government on Human Trafficking: After the matter of selling two Dalit women from Asifabad district of Telangana, the state government has announced to set up a special cell for prevention of women trafficking. This decision is taken after the exposure of a comprehensive human trafficking network. Of the nine accused involved in this case, six have been arrested by the police so far.
Women sold by sending to Madhya Pradesh by deception
According to the police, a 22 -year -old girl from Wadigondi village in Asifabad district of Telangana was missing for the last one year. During the updation of his Aadhaar card, the matter was revealed only after getting the address and contact number of Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, another 25 -year -old woman under Asifabad district headquarters was also sent to Madhya Pradesh by deception.
When the police investigated intensely in this case, the shocking fact was revealed. Police came to know that these two women were sold for Rs 1.30 lakh and 1.10 lakh respectively.
Police sent MP to arrest the three accused absconding
The arrest of six accused in the case has already been done, now the police have sent a special team in Madhya Pradesh to search for the remaining three absconding accused. The arrested accused include four local women, who are accused of winning the trust of the victims and implicating them. Police officials believe that this gang may be active for a long time and would have developed a broad network.
Out of a total of 9 accused involved in the case, 5 women involved
Detailed information about the accused shows that these include five women and four men. Three of these accused are residents of Madhya Pradesh, two in Manchurial district and four of Asifabad district. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police has formed a special investigation team. DSP Ramanjam said in this regard that the police is committed to fully highlight this network of human trafficking.
