A truck carrying army personnel met with an accident in SK Payeen area of Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Two soldiers have died in the accident. 3 soldiers are injured. The injured soldiers have been admitted to the nearest hospital.
Earlier on December 24, an army van had fallen into a 350 feet deep gorge in Poonch district. There were 18 soldiers in the van. Of these, 5 had died. All the soldiers involved in the accident belonged to 11 Maratha Regiment.
The Army said that there were 6 vehicles in the convoy, which were going towards Banoi area via the operational track near Poonch district. Meanwhile, the driver of a vehicle lost control and the van fell into a ditch.
The truck slipped off the road and fell into a ditch.
