In a road accident in the country’s capital Delhi, a high speed Audi car hit a bike rider. The accident took place on June 19 at 3:20 am near Bhogal Chowk in Nizamuddin police station area. The husband and wife riding on the bike and their one-year-old innocent girl were injured in the accident.
The police control room received the news of the incident at 3:20 am. The police, who reached the spot, saw that the motorcycle (number DL3SDE6448) was badly damaged on the road. Investigation revealed that Parvez (29), his wife (31) and daughter (1 year), who live in Haji Colony, were traveling by bike, when a high speed Audi car (number HP63e9933) hit him strongly.
The injured were immediately rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Center with the help of PCR van. The doctors discharged Parvez and his wife after first aid, while a one -year -old girl was kept under surveillance for some time and was later discharged.
Police identified the accused driver as Rakshit Kumar (21 years), who is a resident of Old Rajinder Nagar. The accused was caught from the spot. A case has been registered against him under Section 281 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 125 (A) of the BNS. The police is investigating the matter thoroughly and is also seeing whether the driver was drunk at the time of the accident.
