New Delhi. Star Indian batsman Karun Nair is ready to return to the Test team after eight years. According to a report, he is on the verge of returning to Karnataka, leaving his current home team Vidarbha. Not only Nair, but also IPL 2025 winner Jitesh Sharma, who is also thinking of leaving Vidarbha and going to Baroda.
Nair left Karnataka before the 2023-24 season, but as per the report, he will return to the state for personal and family reasons. Sources in the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) have confirmed the cricbing that the possibility of Nair’s return is strong. Star Indian batsman captained Vidarbha in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last year.
Sources in the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) have confirmed the cricbing that Jitesh’s transfer from Vidarbha to Baroda will be completed in a day or two. Jitesh captained Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and played under the leadership of Nair in Vijay Hazare Trophy, but could not make much impact. Jitesh enjoyed a successful IPL season with Royal Challengers Bangalore and played a 24 -run match in 10 balls in the final. Officials of Baroda Cricket Association have said that Jitesh will play in both red-ball and white-ball format for the state team.
