The peak of Shrikhand is also lacking oxygen due to being at an altitude of 18,570 feet above sea level.

Passengers going to Srikhand can reach trains and buses from Rampur in Shimla district to Bagipul and Jo via Nirmand in Kullu district. The distance from Shimla to Rampur is 130 km, Rampura to Nirmand 17 km, Nirmand to Bagipul 17 km and the distance from Bagipul is 12 km. A distance of 32 kilometers has to be traveled from here.

Shrikhand Trust Committee and Kullu district administration have decided to build a base camp at 5 places on the journey routes. The first base camp will be built at Sinhagad, the second Thachru, the third Kunasha, the fourth Bhima Gate and the Base Camp will be built at the fifth Parvati Bagh.

Where the devotees will be sent forward only after health check -up. Arrangements have also been made to stay and eat and eat. SDM Nirmand Manmohan Sharma informed that the portal has been started for online registration for Shrikhand Yatra. This time only 800 devotees will be sent on the journey. Due to this, registration in one day will also be 800 people. Passengers will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 250.

He has appealed to all interested devotees to register in time. He said, the registration in Bais Camp will be acceptable only in the ‘Rest of Rare’ case. He said that the paths have suffered heavy damage due to cloudburst last year. The entire route will be corrected before the journey starts. Its work has been started.
