The peak of Shrikhand is also lacking oxygen due to being at an altitude of 18,570 feet above sea level.

The first batch will leave on July 10
On July 10, the first batch of devotees will leave for Shrikhand. This time 800-800 devotees will be dispatched on the journey in a day. More devotees will not be sent to Shrikhand in one day. Passengers going to Srikhand can reach trains and buses from Rampur in Shimla district to Bagipul and Jo via Nirmand in Kullu district. The distance from Shimla to Rampur is 130 km, Rampura to Nirmand 17 km, Nirmand to Bagipul 17 km and the distance from Bagipul is 12 km. A distance of 32 kilometers has to be traveled from here.

During the Srikhand Yatra, there are many panoramic sites including Parvati Bagh, Bhima Dwar, Nain Sarovar, Bhima Book, Barati Nala on the way. Parvati Bagh has a flower garden, where the fragrance of flowers mesmerize everyone. There are many types of herbs on the way.

Preparations for administration for Shrikhand Yatra
In view of the difficulties of Shrikhand Yatra, the administration also remains on alert mode. Shrikhand Trust Committee and Kullu district administration have decided to build a base camp at 5 places on the journey routes. The first base camp will be built at Sinhagad, the second Thachru, the third Kunasha, the fourth Bhima Gate and the Base Camp will be built at the fifth Parvati Bagh.
Apart from the sector magistrates and police officers or in -charge, medical staff and rescue teams will also be deployed in this. There will be a provision of medicines and oxygen here. Where the devotees will be sent forward only after health check -up. Arrangements have also been made to stay and eat and eat.
