Brahmos hypersonic glide missile: During Operation Sindoor, the whole world saw the strength of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, but now the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is working fast on India’s hypersonic missile and soon the country will have the first hypersonic missile. Its speed will be almost three times faster than the supersonic missile, while the range will be about 5 times more.
The preparation of India’s first hypersonic missile is in its final stages. As soon as it is ready, every big city of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad will fall into the range of India. This missile will destroy these cities by making its target within just 4 to 6 minutes. The speed of BrahMos hypersonic missile can be around 6000 km per hour, while its range will be about 2000 km.
Trial will be completed in next 2-3 years: DRDO Chief
DRDO Chief Dr. Sameer V. Kamat told in an interview to NDTV that India is now working fast on hypersonic missile technology. He said, ‘We have achieved initial successes in this direction. Its final trial will be completed in the next 2-3 years. After that it will be included in the army.
Dr. Kamat said that this missile is based on hypersonic technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV), which was successfully tested by India in 2020.
What will be the specialty BrahMos hypersonic missile?
– BrahMos hypersonic missile is being counted among the most special missiles in the world in view of its speed, technology and firepower. At present, hypersonic missiles are with only 3-4 countries of the world.
– The speed of hypersonic missile will be so high that radars will not be able to catch it. By the time the enemy finds a glimpse of this missile, it will have destroyed its target. During this time, the enemy will not get time to answer. This is its biggest feature.
– This missile will fly at a very low height, due to which it will be very difficult to track and stop it. Not only this, the missile can also change its path after fire for target.
