‘We assemble, China earns profits …’ Rahul Gandhi raised questions on ‘Make in India’, surrounded the government – Rahul Gandhi on Make in India Initiative Says Most Products Being Assembled in India Ntc

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, made a scathing attack on the Central Government’s ‘Make in India’ scheme, calling it a bundle of false promises. He said that this initiative has failed to promote real construction in the country.

Rahul Gandhi reached Nehru Place in Delhi, considered the country’s largest electronics market on Friday and interacted with two local technicians there. He said that most mobile and electronic products in India are being ‘assembled’, but they are not being constructed here.

He also alleged that “Make in India promised to bring a boom of factories. Then why is the manufacturing historically at a low level? Why is the young unemployment at a record height? And why has imports doubled from China?”

‘Import has doubled from China’

Rahul Gandhi said that today India’s manufacturing GDP has been reduced to only 14 percent- which is a record low. At the same time, young unemployment is at its peak and imports from China have doubled. Sharing a video on X (East Twitter), Rahul wrote, “Make in India promised the factory boom. Then the manufacturing records at the lowest level, the young unemployment at a record height and the imports from China doubled? Modi ji only gets slogans, not a solution.”

Referring to the meeting with two young technicians, Shivam and Saif, at Nehru Place, Delhi, he said that both these talented youth are not able to use their ability as India’s economic model does not give them opportunity.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Modi has no new idea now. He claimed that the government’s famous PLI scheme (production -based incentive scheme) is being closed quietly. He wrote on X, “If we do not make ourselves, then we will continue to buy from others. India now needs to empower domestic producers through honest reforms and real financial support. The country will now have to become a construction center, not a market.”

Ground reality completely different- Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi directly said: “The truth is that we only assemble, import, but do not build. And China is taking advantage of it.” Rae Bareli MP also explained how the boom in imports from China has made a serious impact on the country’s local construction capacity and jobs. Describing ‘Make in India’ as ‘Jumla’, he said that the ground reality of the promise made by the government is completely different.
