Indian Railways: The Railways has decided to put its retired employees again on the job. The circular issued by the Railway Board states that the non -retired staff will be kept back on the contract. This decision has also been taken to improve the process of filling the vacant posts in the railway, simple, skilled as well as the services of experienced employees.

The Railways has made some changes in the rules to hire retired employees. Now, retired employees can be kept back to fill the vacant posts from Pay Level 1 to Pay Level 9, provided that they are from the same category/class and the posts which are vacant, retired from only three level high posts.

Changes made according to the new rule

According to the new rule, employees retired from the same Pay Level and the employees found suitable will be given preference in comparison to those who have retired from high level posts. Apart from this, now DRM has also been given the authority for retired employees. Whereas the powers of reigningment will remain with the General Manager to fill the empty spaces at the headquarters level. However, the power to decide the total number for reigningment will remain with the General Manager.

Retired employees again appointed

The re -appointment of retired employees was done by the Indian Railways. Changes can not only be considered administratively practical, but it is also expected to give strength to the operational efficiency of the railway. This will make it possible to use experienced manpower again and can also be compensated for shortage of new employees. Please tell that Indian Railways is the highest job department in India.
