A serious scholarship scam has emerged in Dubugga police station area of Lucknow. The District Minority Welfare Officer has filed a case against Rizwanul Haq, the operator who runs two madrasas in the same campus here. It is alleged that Rizwanul Haque for many years for many years and grabbed the scholarship amount in the name of about 50 children.
Scholarship form filled with fake names
According to the investigation, the recognition of the madrasa was only from class one to five, despite its operator conducted classes from 12th. Not only this, Rizwanul Haq filled the scholarship forms in the name of students on the basis of fake documents and kept the money received from the government. This disturbance has been found in the scholarship from 2021 to 2023.
Madrasa operator postponed reaction
District Minority Welfare Officer Son Kumar said that a scholarship of one to five thousand rupees is given per student every year. When it was suspected, on March 21, the inspection team visited Jamia Sadia Lil and Madrasa Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Irabic School. On reaching the spot, both madrasas were found closed. When the inspection team approached Rizwanul Haq, he told that he is currently in Unnao and the madrasa is closed. But the investigation revealed that the students whose scholarship was being taken in the name is not in existence. It became clear that there has been a serious fraud in the whole case.
Block on NSP portal, U-Dus Code Suspended
After this scam was exposed, the administration has blocked both madrasas on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Also, the U-digestion code of these madrasas has also been suspended so that such disturbances cannot happen again in future. The police is now investigating the whole matter and further action will be taken soon.
