Sant Kabir Nagar exposed 3.25 crore scholarship scam, case filed against 46 institutions – Scholarship scam in Sant Kabir Nagar 46 Institutes Booked in UP LCLK

The Minority Welfare Department in Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh has revealed a big scholarship scam. The department has filed a case against 46 educational institutions and 98 people associated with them. It is alleged that these institutions have embezzled Rs 3.25 crore under the Minority Scholarship Scheme of the Government of India in the year 2021-22.

During the investigation of the case, it was found that these institutions applied for scholarship of about 4,000 students but did not submit the necessary records related to the students. This irregularity came to light when departmental officials verified the field level on the order of the Commission of Inquiry. Investigation also made it clear that the amount of scholarship was obtained by these institutions in a fake way.

On the basis of these serious irregularities, the District Officer of the Minority Department lodged a complaint in Kotwali Khalilabad. After this, the police have registered an FIR against 46 institutions and 98 persons concerned. The Additional Superintendent of Police investigating the case said that the entire case is being investigated thoroughly and strict legal action will be taken against those found guilty.

This scam has also raised questions on the transparency and accountability of the education system. From this rigging in an important scheme like scholarship, it is clear that some institutions are playing with the future of students for benefits. At present, investigation is going on in the case and the district administration is taking serious action on this.
