The first match of the two -match Test series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was played from 17 to 21 June at Gaul International Stadium in Gaul. In this match, Bangladesh scored 495 runs in their first innings. Then the host Sri Lanka’s first innings was reduced to 485 runs. Bangladesh got a lead of just 10 runs on the basis of first innings. After this, Bangladesh declared his second innings by scoring 285 runs for 6 wickets. That is, Sri Lanka got a target of 296 runs to win. When the fifth day was announced to end the game, Sri Lanka scored 72 runs for 4 wickets in their second innings.

Mathews became emotional after retirement test

Angelo Mathews said after his Farewell Test match, ‘The love I got after the announcement of retirement is not sure. I thank those who always supported me. This journey has been a ups and downs, but due to the support of all of you, I could reach this point. Obviously I am emotional because I am taking off from the format that I liked the most. Now is the time to come forward and take this responsibility.
