Team India’s ODI captain Rohit Sharma recently revealed how he proposed his wife Ritika Sajdeh in a very special and romantic style. He shared this story in a conversation with former cricketer Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra. Rohit told that he told Ritika that he was going to eat ice cream, but actually took him to his childhood cricket ground, which is located in Borivali. After reaching there, in the middle of the pitch, he proposed sitting on his knees.
Rohit Sharma said, ‘I told him- Let’s go to eat ice cream. We came out of the Marine Drive, crossed Bandra via Haji Ali, Worli. Ritika did not know much on that side. I said there is a good shop in Borivali, let’s go there. Rohit further told that he had already called one of his friends on the ground, who could capture that special moment on camera.
Rohit Sharma said that when we reached the ground, it was dark. Ritika did not know that this is a cricket ground. After parking the car, I went between the pitch and proposed sitting on the knees. Let us know that Rohit Sharma retired from T20 International cricket after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup and also announced his retirement from Test cricket in May 2025.
