Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has shown the way out of the party to three rebel MLAs Abhay Singh, Rakesh Singh and Manoj Pandey. These three MLAs had stood openly with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and were not leaving any opportunity to protest the SP. Akhilesh has taught three of the seven rebels out of the SP, giving life to four rebels at present, the party leaders have taught the lesson of discipline, this one step has also been targeted.
The SP has given the reason for the BJP to work behind the expulsion of three MLAs, taking a stand against the PDA. The SP has posted from its X handle and said that the socialist is expelled for doing communal, divisive and negativity politics contrary to the politics of cordial positive ideology. All these three MLAs were supporting farmers, women, youth, businessmen, jobbers and ‘anti -PDA’ ideology.
The SP has given arguments of the three MLAs who have removed and those who have not been removed, have also given the reason. The SP said that the time limit of ‘grace-period’ given to these people for heart change is now fulfilled. The remaining deadline is due to good behavior. There will be no place in the party for ‘anti-people’ people in future also. Opposition activities of the original idea of the party will always be considered unforgivable. Wherever you live, be reliable.
The wires of this action are associated with the 2024 Rajya Sabha election. In the Rajya Sabha elections, seven SP MLAs adopted a rebel attitude and voted in favor of the BJP candidate. Among those who did Madan in favor of BJP candidate were Abhay Singh, Rakesh Singh and Manoj Pandey as well as Rakesh Pandey, Pooja Pal, Vinod Chaturvedi, Ashutosh Maurya. The SP chief has now shown the way out of the party to three rebels after about one and a half years after this rebellion, while action has not been taken against the other four.
Now the question has started to arise that what is the reason that three MLAs have been excluded from SP, but MLA Pooja Pal, Kalpi MLA Vinod Chaturvedi, Ambedkarnagar MLA Rakesh Pandey, Bisauli MLA Ashutosh Maurya were not taken action?
All three MLAs were attacking SP chief
Rakesh Pratap Singh, Manoj Pandey and Abhay Singh had been making constant statements against the SP since the rebel attitude i.e. the Rajya Sabha elections of 2024. The three MLAs were also making statements against SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and were seen openly batting in favor of BJP.
MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh, who was expelled from SP, recently described Akhilesh Yadav during an interview, saying that the SP chief did not like to buy my new car. Apart from this, Abhay Singh and Manoj Pandey have described SP as anti -Hindu.
SP’s PDA is not affecting
Akhilesh Yadav has removed the same three MLAs from the party, who looked the most vocal. All three come from the normal class, including two Thakur and a Brahmin. There is no political effect on SP’s PDA formula (Backward, Dalit and Minority) due to their withdrawal. Manoj Pandey is a Brahmin, while Abhay Singh and Rakesh Pratap Singh Thakur are Kshatriyas.

In the UP elections of 2027, the entire focus of SP is on Dalit, OBC and minority votes. That is why Akhilesh Yadav has excluded the same three of his seven MLAs, who are not involved in the agenda of politics. Akhilesh Yadav has also been the most attacker and vocal against these three MLAs in the 2024 general election.

In every rally, Akhilesh Yadav kept asking to teach these three MLAs to teach a lesson. Manoj Pandey, Rakesh Pratap and Abhay Singh have met many rounds with CM Yogi to Amit Shah. All three are also acting like a BJP leader in their respective constituencies. This is the reason that Akhilesh has targeted them in his first action.
Akhilesh Meherban on Pal-Maurya-Chaturvedi
SP chief Akhilesh did not take action on Chail MLA Pooja Pal, Kalpi MLA Vinod Chaturvedi, Ambedkarnagar MLA Rakesh Pandey and Bisauli MLA Ashutosh Maurya, so it also has its own reasons. These four leaders have been seen avoiding rhetoric against the party or party chief after rebellion. These four MLAs have also avoided carrying out personal attacks on Akhilesh Yadav.

The SP has also said in the order of expulsion of three MLAs that the ‘Grace-Aadhi’ given to these people for heart change is now fulfilled. The remaining deadline is still due to good behavior. In a way, the SP is assuming that the behavior of the remaining four MLAs is not against the party and ideology.

If Akhilesh Yadav takes action on all the seven MLAs, then the SP’s PDA equation would also be questioned, because Pooja Pal and Ashutosh Maurya come from the backward caste. The SP does not want to see taking action against Brahmin and OBC. By giving life to two OBCs and two Brahmins, Akhilesh Yadav has made it clear that there is no place for indiscipline in the party.
