Indus waters trearty: The impact of cancellation of Indus Water Treaty from India has started to affect Pakistan. Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has once spoken about the war while giving a gesture. The statement of Bilawal Bhutts has come at a time when India Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that we have no intention of restoring the Indus agreement right now.
Inshallah we will fight another war- Bilawal Bhutto
The statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also been opposed by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that if the Indus Water Treaty is not restored again, Pakistan can capture all six rivers while attacking. He said that if India also shows the eye towards the Indus water, then Inshallah will fight another war and once again he will defeat them.
‘India has only two options’
Bilawal Bhutto said, “We want to tell them that you will have to accept Sindh’s promise. The three out of 6 Diya are handed over to Pakistan and the remaining three are handed over to India. India has two options or if they do not believe their Indus Agreement, Pakistan will fight another war.”
He said, “India has also tried to accuse Pakistan on Pakistan. India wanted Pakistan to be declared a Terrorist State. They (India) tried to harm Pakistan on international forums so that we can stop the loan from IMF.”
What will affect Pakistan with the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty?
The Indus river system consists of a total of six rivers, including three Eastern rivers Ravi, Beas, Sutlej and three western rivers Indus, Jhelum, Chenab. Under this agreement, India has got the right to control and use of Eastern rivers, while Pakistan has got control of Western rivers.
About 80 percent of Pakistan’s agricultural irrigation is dependent on the Indus water system. By imposing India on the Indus Water Agreement, water will not reach water in the Indus River in Pakistan, which will create water crisis and it will directly affect the cultivation there. Apart from this, many hydropower projects related to the Indus River are in Pakistan. Lack of water will affect their production, which will deepen the energy crisis.
