Wajahat Khan, who is the reason for the arrest of social media influencer Sharmishtha Panoli, is currently under the grip of law himself. He has approached the Supreme Court after an FIR was registered in several states for spreading hatred against the Hindu community. Khan has said that the West Bengal Police has already arrested him. Now other cases should also be transferred to Kolkata.
Justice of Justice of Justice and Justice N. Kotishwar Singh issued a notice on the petition and fixed the date of hearing on July 14. The court said that the police should not arrest the petitioner in this case at present. Senior advocate DS Naidu, appearing for Vajahat Khan, told the court that apart from 2 FIRs in West Bengal, cases have also been registered in Assam, Maharashtra, Delhi and Haryana.
Naidu said that he is not supporting the controversial social media post of Wajahat Khan. He is cutting what he sowed, but it is true that the case was registered on the basis of his old social media posts only when he complained to a woman. The senior advocate said that the Supreme Court has been transferring the cases filed in the same charge before. He is just asking for this relief.
