The five -day remand of two accused arrested in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination of Kashmir, has been received by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A local court on Monday sent Parvez Ahmed Jothar, a resident of Batkot in Pahalgam and Bashir Ahmed Jothar, a resident of Hill Park, to the custody of NIA. Both were arrested for giving shelter to Pakistani terrorists.
According to an NIA an official, the arrested accused have revealed the identity of the three terrorists involved in the terrorist attack. He has also said during interrogation that he was associated with Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET). The three carried out a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 tourists were killed. Apart from this, 16 people were badly injured.
He further informed that both the accused were produced in the court of District and Sessions Judge Ritesh Kumar Dubey, additional Jammu. He was sent to NIA custody for 5 days till 27 June. Parvez and Bashir are accused of sheltering the three terrorists in a seasonal dhok (hut) in Hill Park before the terrorist attack. From here, the three reached the valley and carried out a terrorist attack.
