Arvind Kejriwal has got a big opportunity to celebrate. The results of two seats have come in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party in the by -elections in five seats across the country. One seat is from Punjab, but one seat is from Gujarat. However, this seat was already with you, but it is no less for you to retain your seat between the BJP stronghold in Gujarat. That is, the Aam Aadmi Party has saved both its seats. And the circumstances under which this has been done is more important.
The BJP gave Arvind Kejriwal the biggest pain in the Delhi assembly elections this year. After Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail, Haryana elections were achieved, the BJP also made the Aam Aadmi Party, which has been holding power for ten consecutive years, from Delhi.
The victory of Gujarat’s Visavadar by -election has its own importance, Arvind Kejriwal needed victory in the Ludhiana West Assembly seat. But it was not easy to win this victory from anywhere. Arvind Kejriwal had given his entire team and full force to win the Ludhiana West Assembly seat – and then this achievement has been achieved somewhere.
The election of Ludhiana West was more important for the Aam Aadmi Party than Visavadar – because, with the victory of Ludhiana West, Arvind Kejriwal’s way to go to Rajya Sabha i.e. national politics was going to go a way to move forward.
Paving the way for Kejriwal to go to Rajya Sabha
Arvind Kejriwal will be very happy today. Even the opportunity of happiness has not come like this. And this double happiness has also been found after hard work. Do or die tight. Like fighting across the fight. Really, when the upperwater gives, it tears the thatch, and when it takes, it also squeezes it completely. Who would know all this better than Arvind Kejriwal at this time. And, that too on the distance of about three months.
Arvind Kejriwal had covered himself after defeating Delhi elections. With immediate effect in Delhi, I have to go from Punjab to Delhi, but very little publicly. This is rarely seen for someone living in public life.
After the results of Delhi elections, Arvind Kejriwal called Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his entire team to Delhi. The meeting took place, and Bhagwant returned, talking about raising the Punjab model. A few days later Arvind Kejriwal left for Vipassana from Delhi. This is a matter of those days when the farmers of Punjab were angry with the Aam Aadmi Party.
After returning from Vipassana, Arvind Kejriwal focused on Ludhiana West by -election. First declared the candidate, and started the campaign. Keep in mind that the Election Commission did not even announce the date. At that time it was believed that the by -elections could be held with the Bihar assembly elections – but, Kejriwal of the tune did not care about any talk.
The challenge was not easy. The Congress had made such a leader a candidate, who alleged that Bhagwant Mann’s police had sent him to jail in a fake case. Just like Arvind Kejriwal has been accusing the BJP about the Delhi liquor policy case. The Congress candidate was also campaigning, citing the High Court’s comment at the time of bail. In the Ludhiana West by -election, Sanjeev Arora defeated Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu by a margin of 10637 votes.
Regarding the Ludhiana election, Arvind Kejriwal thrown his most dependent team on the front, and took command himself. Bibhav Kumar had already been sent, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Manish Sisodia were also called to Punjab, leaving Delhi on the basis of Atishi.
Arvind Kejriwal has made big promises when Sanjeev Arora won from Ludhiana. First, Sanjeev Arora will be made a minister in the Punjab government. Arvind Kejriwal had told people during the election campaign that if Sanjeev Arora does not win, then development work in Ludhiana West area will stop – now the promise will have to be fulfilled.
With the victory of Ludhiana West, one of the tasks will also be that Sanjeev Arora will now resign from Rajya Sabha membership, and Arvind Kejriwal from Punjab will go to Parliament. However, when he was asked about going to Rajya Sabha, he said so much that the political affairs committee of the party will decide about this, but they are not going to go.
After the defeat of Delhi, now only the Aam Aadmi Party government is left in Punjab, so Arvind Kejriwal needed an opportunity to set foot in national politics, the people of Ludhiana have given. Anyway, the political land of Punjab has been fertile for the Aam Aadmi Party from the beginning. In the 2014 general election, when Arvind Kejriwal lost to BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Punjab also sent four Aam Aadmi Party leaders including Bhagwant Mann to the Lok Sabha.
Kejriwal’s ‘Hero’ victory in Gujarat
AAP candidate Gopal Italia won the Visavadar assembly seat of Gujarat by defeating BJP’s Kirit Patel by a margin of 17581 votes. In the Visavadar seat, in December 2023, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Bhupendra Bhayani resigned after joining the ruling BJP in Gujarat – along with Ludhiana, Arvind Kejriwal was also making every effort to win the Visavadar seat.
Arvind Kejriwal, who arrived in the nomination of Gopal Italia, publicly announced that the Aam Aadmi Party has fielded its hero. And, I had publicly announced, if BJP buys Gopal Italia, I will leave politics.
The special thing is that Arvind Kejriwal himself stayed on the front of Visavadar, and had deployed the workers at the booth level. He was challenging the BJP directly, and repeatedly trying to remind that despite being in power in Gujarat, the BJP has failed to win the Visavadar seat. BJP has been trying to win this seat since 2007, but has failed again.
