Police has busted an international human trafficking gang in Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Here 32 boys brought from Nepal were being forced to sell the products of the company by forcibly locked in a house. The police have arrested three accused by releasing them all. Preparations are also being made to clamp down on a Delhi -based company.
On Saturday, a team of Uttarakhand Police carried out the entire operation on the basis of the complaint of Nepal Embassy. The team was headed by SSP Manikant Mishra and Naveen Joshi, an officer associated with the embassy. According to him, many youths of Nepal were brought to India through social media. After this, he was held hostage in Kashipur. The information was given to the SSP.
Manikant Mishra, SSP of Udham Singh Nagar, formed a special team under the leadership of Kashipur jurisdictional Deepak Singh. The police team along with Nepali officer Naveen Joshi raided a house in Om Vihar Colony. A person named Maharaj Singh alias Pappu lived in this house. During the police raid, 32 Nepali youths were found inside the house, out of which three were minor boys.
Police interrogation revealed that these youths were implicated by Birendra Shahi of Dhangarhi area of ​​Nepal. He contacted through social media and showed the dream of a job and a better future. After this, he brought him to India. After coming here, these youths were forcefully forced to sell products for a company named lead Vision Vision Trading India Private Limited. They were not even allowed to go out.
Not only this, Nepali youths were tortured mentally and physically. The accused also used to forcibly collect money from them. This amount was deposited in the company’s account. Police arrested three accused Birendra Shahi, Sachin Kumar and Manish Tiwari from the spot. The accused revealed that they are associated with Lead Vision Trading India Private Limited, whose main office is in Janakpuri, Delhi.
He told that the training of this entire scheme was given to him by Chetan Handa, director of the company. He was the one who used to teach them how to implicate the youth, lure the job, get money from them and then the pretense of recruitment in the company. A police officer said that not only the sections of child labor and human trafficking have been imposed in this whole case, but no valid documents have been found from the accused.
The police have registered an FIR against all the accused under Section 14 (1) of Child Labor Prohibition Act, Juvenile Justice Act Section 79 and Section 127 (4), 137 (2), 111 (2), 61 (2), 61 (2), 115, 351 (2), 352, 318 (4) of the Indian Justice Code. Not only this, strict action will also be taken against Chetan Handa, director of Delhi -based Lead Vision Trading India Private Limited and others associated with the company.
