Today, on the completion of 50 years of Emergency, PM Modi wrote social media x, it is one of the most dark chapters in India’s democratic history. The people of India celebrate this day as Constitution Husbandry Day.

On this day, the values ​​of the Indian Constitution were sidelined, the fundamental rights were taken away, the freedom of the press was abolished. Many political leaders, social workers, students and common citizens were imprisoned.

PM wrote- Salute to those who fight against emergency Modi further wrote that we salute every person who is standing in the fight against the Emergency. These were people from all over India, from every region, from different ideologies, who worked together with each other for the same purpose.

Protecting India’s democratic structure and maintaining the ideals for which our freedom fighters dedicated their lives. This was their collective struggle, which ensured that the then Congress government had to restore democracy and hold new elections, in which they lost badly.
