The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided two villages of Yamunanagar and Kharvan in the morning today (Thursday). In this action, which started at around 4 am, the NIA team along with the local police force raided the houses of two suspects.

The NIA team first reached the village Chandkheri, where a man named Johnny was raided. According to sources, Johnny was reported to have financial transactions and phone conversations several times with a suspect sitting abroad. During the investigation, all family members were also interrogated.
10 lakh prize crook Kulbir Singh Sidhu’s house investigation
After this, the NIA team reached the house of Kulbir Singh Sidhu, a 10 lakh prize crook in village Kharavan. Sidhu’s name came up in the case of a grenade attack on a police post in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.
During the investigation, the NIA adopted a strict attitude. During this time neither a family member was allowed to go out of the house nor any outsider was allowed to enter the house. All the members of Sidhu’s family were questioned in this action, which lasted for about three to four hours.
VHP leader murdered and grenade attacks on police stations
Vikas Bagga, a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader in Rupnagar district of Punjab in April 2023, was assassinated. The NIA investigating the case had revealed that Kulbir had conspired to kill Bagga. After this, between November and December 2024, Sidhu’s name came up in a grenade attacks on 8 police stations, police posts in Punjab.
In December 2024, the NIA declared Sidhu as operative of Babbar Khalsa International, on which a reward of Rs 10 lakh was placed, with posters in place. He is the main accused of providing financial assistance to three Khalistani terrorists. The NIA has also raided Sidhu’s house several times before.
Terrorists were working at the behest of Sidhu
According to the NIA, on 23 December 2024, 3 Khalistani terrorists who were encountered in Pilibhit were acting at the behest of Sidhu. Sidhu has been in Pilibhit for about 10 months in 2020-21. Meanwhile, he befriended the boys here by giving a visa, sending him abroad and spread his network in UP.
This action of Sidhu’s house has caused a stir in the area. No official statement has been issued in this case so far, but it is believed that this investigation may be a major step towards breaking terrorist activities and their financial networks.
