Tehran broke relationship with IAEA, Russia made a big statement, ‘Iranian Parliament does not have an executive power’

According to the report of Reuters, the Parliament of Iran has approved a bill on Wednesday (June 25, 2025), under which cooperation with the United Nations’s Nuclear Monitoring Association (IAEA) will be suspended. The bill comes after Bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites on behalf of Israel and America, which aims to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Iran has denied any intention of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Russia, who has a strategic partnership with Iran, has condemned the attacks of Israel and America and said that Tehran has the right to a peaceful nuclear power program.

Lavarov said that the Iranian Parliament does not have executive power, so his decision was of advisory nature. He said in a press conference, "We want Iran’s cooperation with IAEA to continue." he adds, "We want everyone to respect the supreme leader of Iran, who has repeatedly said that Iran has no plans to make nuclear weapons nor."
