Nia raid in punjab: The NIA, who is investigating the grenade attack at the house of former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia, took a major action on Thursday and raided a total of 18 places in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. According to the NIA, this attack took place in Jalandhar on the night of 7 April 2025. On 12 April, the investigation of this case was taken by the state police to the NIA.
The NIA teams have recovered raids in several districts and many digital devices, mobiles and suspected documents in the morning of Thursday (26 June 2025). These Reds took place at the homes of those who were in touch with suspected terrorists associated with Babbar Khalsa International.
NIA suspects
Among the suspects of the NIA are eyeing, the prominent name is Kulbir Sidhu, who hails from Yamunanagar, Haryana and currently in Germany. He is considered close to BKI Chief Wadwa Singh Babbar sitting in Pakistan. Kulbir Sidhu has already been accused by NIA in another case. Which is associated with the murder of VHP leader Vikas Prabhakar in April 2024. The accused, Saeedul Amin, who carried out the attack, has been arrested by the Punjab Police on 12 April. The attack was carried out at the behest of BKI handlers sitting abroad.
NIA killed raid in Punjab
NIA raided Hoshiarpur, SBS Nagar, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran and Mansa districts of Punjab. NIA teams also reached Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal and Ambala in Haryana. In Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh, suspected locations were also raided. The NIA says that the investigation of this case is still going on.
