Suketu Upadhyay, Deputy Animal Husbandry Director of Ahmedabad district said that from June 23, the physical and mental health of elephants was constantly being monitored. Health checkup of all elephants was done and health certificate (health certificate) was also issued to them. The waiterinery team also ensures that elephants do not disturb fly or other insects. If there is any disease, it is treated on time, so that elephants remain health.
Mahavat is also present with them to control all elephants.
Dart gun is controlled
Upadhyay also told that during the Rath Yatra, the health of elephants is monitored for three consecutive days. At the time of travel, the teams of the Forest Department and Veterinary Department live with elephants, so that they do not have any kind of trouble or stress. If an elephant loses mental balance or mood, the forest department also has a dart gun -like arrangement to control it.
