Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sardar Ji 3’ is surrounded by controversies as she has cast Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in her film. The makers are not releasing their film in India, causing them a huge loss.
‘Sardar Ji 3’ caused a big loss
Producer of the film ‘Sardar Ji 3’, Gunabir Singh Sidhu has revealed that he is going to incur a loss of about 40% in terms of earnings due to not releasing the film in India. He says that his films earn the most in India. The box office of his last few films was also fantastic in India. Now not releasing the film in India, it can be very heavy for him.
Gunabir said in a conversation with a news channel, ‘My previous film Diljit and Neeru starrer Jatt & Juliet 3 which came out last year. It was the first Punjabi film to earn Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. Out of which 40% earned from India and the remaining 60% from the rest of the countries. From this, we can guess that our 40 crore rupees were earned from India and the rest of 60 crores was worldwide. Now in this situation it is clear that we have lost 40% in business.
Gunabir Singh spoke on the casting of Hania
When the trailer of ‘Sardar Ji 3’, with the presence of Hania Aamir a few days ago, was released, there was a lot of ruckus. Everyone believed that despite the Pahalgam terror attack, why did the makers cast the Pakistani actress. Gunabir broke the silence on Hania’s casting in a conversation with Aaj Tak. He said that the shooting of the film was shot before India-Pakistan tension. At that time, the dispute between the two countries did not increase so much.
He had decided not to release ‘Sardar Ji 3’ in India keeping in mind the current situation and the feelings of the people of India. Let us know that after the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian government has completely banned Pakistani artists working in India. Indian fans were very upset with his criticism during ‘Operation Sindoor’. Now it has to be seen what is the future of Diljit’s film ‘Sardar Ji 3’ in India.
