Zomato Feature To Delete Order History On App CEO comes with reason more details

Zomato has added a new feature to its platform. Now the user can also delete his order history. Zomato CEO Deepindra Goyal announced the roll out of the new feature on the food delivery app. Actually, there is an interesting matter behind adding this feature to the app. About 7 months ago, a Zomato customer wrote feedback to the app that he was leaving Zomato because he could not delete his order history. Zomato took this feedback seriously and finally added this new feature to the app.

Zomato CEO Deepindra Goyal made a post from his account on social media platform X. In which he confirmed the launch of the feature to delete order history on the app. Deepindra Goyal also added a user issue with this app feature. Goyal wrote, “To Karan and many other users like him – you can now delete orders from your order history on Zomato. Use it responsibly. We regret that it took so long to bring this out. This has caused a lot of disruption to many systems. And microservices were impacted. We’re rolling it out to all customers, as we said.”

Announcing the feature, Deepindra Goyal tagged a post by X user named Karan from December 2023. The user had claimed in this post that he will no longer place late night orders from Zomato because his wife checks these orders, and the worst part is that he cannot even delete these orders from the history. The user had said that either Zomato should give the facility to delete orders from history, otherwise he is leaving Zomato.

Now after about 7 months, Zomato has taken a step in this direction and actually added the feature. This post of Deepindra Goyal has received many reactions from users. Earlier, a similar interesting case was seen from Blinkit also. In which a user had complained that his mother does not give money for coriander leaves. Rather, she wants that green coriander leaves should be given free along with many vegetables. After this incident, CEO Albinder Dhindsa took the feedback seriously and added the feature on the app.
