Iran-Rus Relations: Relations between Iran and America have been stressful for a long time. Recently, the statement of Iranian Foreign Minister Saeed Abbas Araghchi makes this diplomatic struggle more spicy. Araghchi has clearly stated that if America actually wants a compromise with Iran, then it will have to show respect for Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei in his language.
Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X (East Twitter) that the complexity and perseverance of the Iranian people is like our carpets but our national spirit is straight and clear. We know our freedom and do not allow anyone to determine our fate. This statement comes at a time when reports of attacks on three Iranian nuclear sites under Operation Midnight Hammer from America are also coming out.
Iran’s reaction on Trump’s statement
President Donald Trump’s term has been focused on a policy of separation from the nuclear deal with Iran and maximum pressure, but now that the US is diplomacy and negotiating, Iran wants to see this change not only in language but also in behavior. Araghchi said, “If Trump really wants to deal then he will have to respect Khamenei and his millions of followers.”
Araghchi’s statement indicates that Iran will no longer be satisfied with the conversation, but expects concrete changes from America. It is also worth noting that the previous strategies of the Trump administration, such as economic restrictions and military pressure, have created a lack of faith in Iran’s strategic thinking.
Diplomatic gestures from America
White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewit in his statement made it clear that the US is still in touch with Iranian officials and their mediated Katri representatives. He said that “This administration has always been focused on diplomacy and peace. It makes sense that the Trump administration has probably started giving some flexibility to its strategy. However, Iran says that they will not tolerate threats and insults.
Iran warns America
The Iranian Foreign Minister gave a very serious warning, saying, “Iran will not hesitate to disclose its real abilities if there is a big mistake.” This statement is not just a diplomatic warning, but also indicates military preparations. Iran has already made it clear that it sees itself as a strong and self -sufficient power in the regional balance.
